i'm very surprised lou ferrigno wasn't cast. i thought he was in the bag for DWTS 9. i am also surprised about chuck liddell...that's going to be epic =)

No Lou Ferrigno, no Vera Wang, no Jeremy Roenick. I guess they'll just have to float around the rumor mill for a few more years until they get the official call, just like Aaron Carter and Donny Osmond did.

Unless Mya is paired with Maks, we can look forward to him bitching all season long about how she has an unfair advantage because she is a dancer (and wasn't paired with him). Melissa Joan Hart reportedly left LA last week to return to Chicago (I think) to tend to her ailing mom. I wonder if she will still be part of the cast. I bet money Kathy Ireland will be paired with Tony Dovolani. It just seems likely. The other likelihood will be that either she or the other model will be out the first week. Models never last. Actually, maybe Tony will be paired with Debi Mazar. I love her on Entourage!

I don't know how I feel about those "sudden death" weeks that Tom spoke about on GMA this morning (I enjoyed seeing him in casual wear, looked even cuter!). Why cast 16 celebs and then almost immediately turn around and do double eliminations, three weeks in a row? If they only want to go for twelve weeks, why don't they just hire forteen celebs and do it this way. That kind of undue pressure could just add to the injuries rather than cut back on them.

Some of the names are intriguing and give me hope that the end of the season may be a good one. But wading through more poor dancers isn't a pleasant prospect. The Delay choice is ludicrous -- not even funny.

I would hardly expect Maks to be "bitching" about anything. He is well known to be candid and bluntly honest. But he's anything but a whiner. His run with Karina on Broadway may just have given both of them some new style changes that could be interesting.

The list means nothing to me until the pairings are known.
